About Toppi

Toppi runs the online presence of restaurants, bars and hotels on autopilot: their Google Business Profile, review replies, social posts, local rankings, ads and, with Weppi, their website. Owners follow it all in our web app and mobile app. Hundreds of venues already work with Toppi and we are growing fast.

Your Role

Our tech team is small: a backend and data engineer, a frontend and mobile engineer and our CTO. You will be the fourth engineer and the second with a real eye for UI and UX. Most of what we build next is something customers see and touch, so you will own features end-to-end: from the first sketch to the API, the release and the feedback from our customer success team. You'll:

Build Weppi and our mobile app. Weppi turns a venue's details into a fast website it is proud of. The app (Expo, React Native) keeps owners on top of their venue every day.
Own features end-to-end in React, TypeScript and Tailwind on the front and Python (FastAPI) on the back.
Design and prototype: sketch flows, mock up screens and iterate with customers and our CSMs. You don't need to be a graphic designer, but you need a great eye for UX.
Raise the bar: shape our design system, review code and keep the product fast.

Who You Are

2 to 5 years of experience building and shipping web products, with React and TypeScript as your home turf.
Comfortable in a Python backend or keen to get there quickly.
Design-minded: you care about interaction design and how things look and you notice when something feels slow or confusing.
Self-starter: you take a feature from idea to production without someone guiding every step.
AI-native: you use tools like Claude Code or Cursor every day and read their output critically.
Language: fluent English. Dutch is a big plus, since our customers and most of the team speak it.

Bonus Points

Experience with Cloudflare Workers or other edge platforms.
Web performance (Core Web Vitals) and technical SEO.
React Native.
Design systems (we use shadcn/ui and Tailwind).
A soft spot for hospitality.
